The Uncertainty Principle
Moretonhampstead Parish Hall, Moretonhampstead, TQ13 8LL
Friday 11th December 2026
Award-winning playwright's play comes to Moretonhampstead.
The play takes place in an intimate and sparse setting, involving just two actors, a knife and one bar of chocolate. Over eighty minutes, we explore the connection and chaos that tie the two characters together – with plenty of truths, dares and lies along the way. By turns rib-achingly funny and deeply moving, the play is already receiving rave reviews.
“Utterly compelling performance. One of the best pieces of theatre I have ever seen.”
“Who is telling the truth? Loved the intrigue.”
“Truly blown away by this amazing show.”
“On the edge of my seat. Full of twists and turns.”
‘The Uncertainty Principle’ is by Simon Stephens – twice the winner of an Olivier Award. Performed by Living Room Theatre’s Rose Reynolds and Philip Robinson, and directed by Pippa Marriott.
‘The Uncertainty Principle’ has frequent swearing, with some sexual references and, for parental guidance, is unsuitable for younger children under 15.
A strobe effect is used in the opening two minutes of the play, which lasts for 80 minutes with no interval.
