The Leconfield Singers' Christmas Concert
St Mary's Church, Petworth, Petworth, GU28 0AE
Saturday 12th December 2026
Christmas would not be Christmas in Petworth without this wonderful annual favourite at St Mary's Church - on Saturday 12th December 2026 at 6pm. After our success at the Petworth Festival this summer, we are expecting tickets to sell out fast!
We will be performing Will Todd's Jazz Missa Brevis - a contemporary arrangement in a variety of different jazz styles of a short version of the traditional Latin mass texts. We are lucky to be accompanied by the English Philharmonia Brass, as well as a pianist, saxophonist, percussionist and bass – drawn from some of the finest musicians in the UK – and conducted by Graham Wili. We will also perform other contemporary and traditional festive music. We know how much everyone enjoys singing at Christmas and there will be carols for us all to sing together, with wonderful descants and brass fanfares – all very festive!
There will be an interval where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a mince pie whilst catching up with your family and friends, and our retiring collection this year will be for the Sylvia Beaufoy Centre in Petworth.
Programmes will be provided free of charge.
SPECIAL NOTE: For the best seats on the night, buy your tickets in advance - we sold out last year, so there may not be seats on the door!
See you there!
