Wales is internationally recognised for its commitment to children's rights, with a vision that every child and young person is heard, respected and able to thrive.
Join us as we welcome the Children's Commissioner for Wales, Rocio Cifuentes MBE to Professionally Speaking. She will explore what children and young people across Wales are telling us about their experiences of education, and what this means for those working with and supporting them.
Drawing on evidence gathered directly from children and young people, Rocio will discuss the role of the office for the Children's Commissioner for Wales, and the importance of a rights-based approach to education and youth work. The session will also reflect on current challenges facing learners and consider the practical steps that professionals can take to uphold and promote children's rights in their everyday work.
The event will conclude with a Q&A section, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask your questions directly to Rocio.
This event is suitable for all registrants and will also be of interest to the wider education sector, as well as those interested in children’s rights.
