Anansi Theatre Company

Anansi Theatre Company is an award-winning theatre company by and for women of colour, based in Derby.
Founded in 2021 by Artist and Artistic Director Lauren Nicole Whitter, Anansi creates safe and inclusive spaces for marginalised communities to learn, connect and thrive through creativity.
Through theatre, performances, workshops and community programmes, we aim to upskill, empower and nurture new and existing talent, support positive wellbeing and create opportunities for people to explore their creativity.
While women of colour are at the heart of our work, we welcome everyone to engage, connect and learn through our stories and creative experiences.
