Dick Whittington and His Marvellous Cat

Writtle Cards continue their tradition of giving a fresh and original take on Pantomime themes with this latest production. This is an entirely new show, with a mix of old and new characters, and seven brilliant original songs. There’s a flurry of exciting action, but three things remain true: Dick definitely has a cat, he really does find his true love, and he actually does become Lord Mayor of London.
On the way, Dick meets a cockney fairy godmother called Bow Bells, a lovely girl called Alice, a strange woman called Mrs Plumcrumble, a crazy sea-captain called Captain Crabcake, and an absolute villain called Sir Ralph Rathbone. Dick is sent away in disgrace, but he turns round when he hears the bells of London, has some unexpected adventures, and returns in triumph. There’s a sea voyage. a shipwreck,
and some lost treasure. Alice shows she is more than just a pretty face. Matty the marvellous cat beats a ferocious rat in single combat and saves the day. Everyone, children and adults alike, will love this show. Book your tickets today!
