Wotton-under-Edge Dramatic Society

Wotton-under-Edge Dramatic Society is one of Gloucestershire’s oldest amateur theatre groups, with a series of over 260 productions since its formation in 1932. Classic and modern dramas provide serious entertainment for the discerning theatregoer. Popular pantomimes, specially written by Society members Jane Parker and Anthony Young, regularly delight audiences of all ages. Our performances are held in a number of venues including Wotton-under-Edge Town Hall and in our own 'Studio Theatre' at the newly refurbished Morley Green Room - which also serves as the society's rehearsal space. Shows are regularly entered for county drama awards and regional Rose Bowl competitions, garnering many prizes for acting, direction, costumes and production.
