Saturday 14th November 2026
Experience "Eternal Light" with the Wooburn Singers this November
Join us for an exquisite evening of sacred choral music on Saturday, 14th November 2026, at 7:30 PM, as the Wooburn Singers present "Eternal Light" at St Mary & All Saints Church in Beaconsfield. Conducted by guest conductor Oliver John Ruthven, this captivating programme explores the enduring theme of light through centuries of masterful compositions.
At the heart of the performance is Herbert Howells' deeply moving Requiem. The evening is elegantly underpinned by three of J.S. Bach's magnificent motets showcasing the absolute apotheosis of baroque choral counterpoint. These masterworks will be beautifully complemented by stirring pieces from English Tudor composers Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, and Robert White, alongside radiant contemporary works by Scottish composer James MacMillan, including O radiant dawn and Lux aeterna.
Whether you are a lifelong lover of choral music or simply looking for a peaceful and uplifting evening of live music in South Buckinghamshire, this is a performance not to be missed.
