Winter landscape cards with Dot Ronaldson

Something very seasonal and sparkly. 

A collage and hand stitch day. 

The process begins with the creation of a collage using Sudbury silk in cream, white and blue tones to develop the distant landscape.  Silk painted by me is used to create the foreground and the sky. 
Hand stitches are used to define the distant landscape and to add densely textured foreground interest. 

The stitched include: - 
French knots, ( neat and looped)
Bullion knots 
Chainstitch 
Flystitch
Radiating satin stitch 
Sateen and light effects yarns are used to add sparkle and sheen 
All stitches and stages will be demonstrated 

The materials provided are:- 
Iron on interfacing 
Sudbury silk satin and taffeta in blue, white and cream 
Painted jacquard silk
Painted organza 
Sateen and light effects threads 

You need to bring:-
Fabric cutting and thread cutting scissors 
Milliners and crewel needles 
£5 for materials
