Wilfred Owen Festival 2027 - The Odyssey : Retold

For ten long years his whole world was warfare.  Then, at last, the walls of Troy were toppled.
After a relentless decade at the heart of the Greek campaign, the quick-witted Odysseus has won his victory and longs for nothing more than to return home to Ithaca.  Yet it seems his journey home will make the topless towers of Troy look like a sandcastle.  Storms, monsters, magic and the whims of the gods stand between him and the life he left behind, and every step draws him deeper into a world where courage, cunning and sheer stubborn determination are all that keep him moving.

In Odyssey: Retold, internationally celebrated storyteller, Jon Buckeridge, brings this epic adventure to vivid life.  Blending physical theatre, story and song, he invites audiences to walk beside one of history’s greatest heroes and rediscover a journey that still crackles with danger, heart and destiny.  A bold and captivating retelling that promises adventure, mischief and a hero who refuses to give up.
