Wilfred Owen Festival 2027 - An Evening of 1940's Nostalgia - Music, Song & Heroes in the Sky
Hermon Chapel, Oswestry, SY11 1LF
Tuesday 16th March 2027 7:30PM
Heroes in the Sky - Spike Rose Productions (Written and performed by Shaun Higginson)
Heroes in the Sky draws on extensive theatrical experience to bring to life forgotten stories from the aerial war in Britain during WW2. From tales of pilots’ derring-do to anecdotes from the homefront, the lives of civilians as well as female pilots, it has a strong Shropshire flavour, with a number of references to local wartime activity. In turns humorous and reflective, this is a chance for an audience to gain an insight into an overlooked corner of history, through the lens of a quasi-theatrical storytelling experience.
