The Jon Strong Memorial Concert

Jon Strong built a loyal following in the North East, and especially in South Shields during his long and storied career. Sadly Jon passed away in December 2025. On Sunday May 31st his bandmates, collaborators and friends will gather for a memorial concert for this giant of a musician. The line up will include Roy Whyke and Duncan Waller (Jon's Rhythm Section) Easton Guillory (son of the legendary guitarist Isaac Guillory) Jim Murray & Lee Bates, Rory Holl, Durango Blue, Bad Bob Bates plus compere Maxie Peters. As well as music Jon's other great passions were his cars and his dogs. In honour of his love for animals, all proceeds from this event will go to Newcastle Cat And Dog Shelter.
