IN/TENSION

IN/TENSION explores the juxtaposition of social justice issues with our everyday lives through the lens of dance theater.  It asks, how does the clamor of civic discourse and protest gain our attention, and once it does, how do we respond?  In creating this work we also asked ourselves what is our role as artists in building community around areas of disagreement? The sound score utilizes rock and metal music and includes themes of social justice, freedom, genocide and the effects of war. It contains minimal adult language.
