The Story so far.....
The year is 1937, and everything is not well in the picturesque English village of West Mucklington Parva.  For a start, there has been a death. The widow, Rose Stimper, has died, leaving a significant amount of money.  In her last Will and Testament, she left strict instructions that the villagers should hold a general meeting and that anyone who wants should put forward their ideas on how the money should be used for the village's good.  Everyone should then vote and the winner gets the money.  This has caused bitter rivalry between the would-be inheritors, resulting in many harsh words and open threats being overheard in the lanes, the Dog & Duck and even the village square.

The day of the General meeting has arrived and the candidates who have registered an interest with the Parish Council, per the widow's instructions are preparing to make their ideas known to all.

To some people, the idea of using the money for something was nothing more than a bit of fun and a chance to stand up and have a say. Others, however, took it very, very seriously indeed, you might say there were some who might even commit murder!

Candidates are:
The Reverend Cecil Smeeton - The Vicar of West Mucklington Parva
Gino Vincenzi -  A local Hotelier
Kate Rimehill - The maid from Mucklington Manor
Marmaduke Manger - Village Squire and Lord of the Manor
Buffy Manger - Lord Manger's wife
Harry Clott - An under-gardener at the Manor House

Will you be able to spot the murderer?!

Theme is 1930's, fancy dress is optional.  Prize for best dressed.

All funds raised will go towards the refurbishment of the Village Hall roof.
