Mental Health First Aid Awareness

You will gain a Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health. An ID badge and certificate will be awarded upon completion.
The course will give an overview on:
- What is mental health?
- The impact of mental health issues
- Mental Health Stigma
- Starting a conversation
- What is stress and the causes and effects
- Different mental health conditions
- Mental health helplines
This is not the full Mental Health First Aid qualification but provides a fantastic taster of what the whole course would be like. First aid training covering mental health teach delegates how to recognise warning signs of mental ill health and help them to develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping themselves safe.
