Radio Blah Blah with Guy Lloyd LIVE
The Actors, Brighton, BN2 1RD
Thursday 6th August 2026
Guy Lloyd's Radio Blah Blah is a live show with a twist! Incorporating a broadcast studio and a live performance space, Guy is turning radio up to '11', with an exciting and immersive event for the good people of Brighton (Hove too!).
Remember The Tube? TFI Friday? This is the radio equivalent. Live performances from bands, solo artists, comedians, poets, you name it, anything could happen on this show. Alongside the live performances, there'll be interviews with big names from across the city and beyond, all in front of a live audience. That live audience being you. And your friends. And family. And possibly, domestic animals (although we’d take non-domestic).
This month we welcome Junk, Helen Ganya and Eloïse Carter.
Junk are a four-piece shoegaze band based in Sheffield. With each member coming from vastly different musical backgrounds, they all contribute something unique to the band. Whether it be gothic vocal harmonies, a love of brash distortion, concise drumming or a love of dreampop silky smooth vocals, it combines to make something all-together new.
Brighton-based Scottish-Thai musician Helen Ganya creates dark, artful rock and off-kilter pop. Her recent album Share Your Care weaves traditional Thai instrumentation into psych-tinged soundscapes. On 23 September 2026, she releases her new EP, Long Lost Highway, a four-track collection rooted in the strange emotional logic of dreams. She has supported artists including Hayden Thorpe (Wild Beasts), Sea Power and Algiers, and has performed at festivals including SXSW, Wonderfruit and The Great Escape. Long Lost Highway is supported by PRS Foundation's Women Make Music fund.
Eloïse Carter are a South Coast based alternative indie rock band, blending raw, introspective songwriting with the intensity of full-band indie rock. Drawing influence from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and Wolf Alice, the band’s sound goes from intimacy to intensity. Following their sold-out Heartbreakers Southampton headline, the band doubled the size headlining The Joiners, as well as headlining the Vaults Stage at Icebreaker Festival 2026. Supporting the likes of Prima Queen, The Native and Sløtface, the band are building momentum across the UK live circuit with appearances at venues and festivals including Isle of Wight & Victorious Festival 2026.
This is a night not to be missed. Previous shows have sold out very quickly, so book your ticket now and come and join us for a night of joy, merriment and great hair.
Doors open at 6.30pm
Show starts at 7.00pm until 9.00pm
