WORKSHOP: Making TAX Digital
Holiday Inn, Brentwood, CM14 5NF
Wednesday 6th May 2026
From April 2026, HMRC is introducing Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax, bringing significant changes to how sole traders and landlords record and report their income.
This talk is designed to give clarity, reassurance, and practical steps to feel confident managing businesses under the new rules.
Holiday Inn, 6-7pm.
The workshop will be approx 30 minutes with the opportunity for Q&A. Then you are welcome to join us for a drink in the bar afterwards for further networking.
The Holiday Inn have kindly provided free parking for this event, so please make sure to scan the QR code on arrival in the Forest Suite room.
- Who needs to comply including income thresholds that bring you into MTD
- What it means in practical terms for small businesses, from digital record-keeping and quarterly submissions to the transition away from annual self-assessment tax returns
- When tax payments are due and how the new reporting system fits around existing payment deadlines
- Why it’s important to be proactive rather than re-active (even when the legislation will already be in place by the time we run the workshop)
- How MTD can actually benefit small businesses, rather than becoming another compliance tick box
