CONTACT IMPROVISATION CLASS & JAM with LILY ANTONIA
Wainsgate Chapel, Old Town, Hebden Bridge, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8SU
Saturday 2nd May 2026
The next Contact Improvisation classes and jam at Wainsgate will be facilitated by Lily Antonia
The class and jam are welcoming, physical and fun, and are open to all.
Classes are led by different experienced teachers from near and far, and offer a way into the jam, and giving some shared information and focus to move with.
The jam is a space for exploring contact improvisation in a focused space, and is an opportunity to dance with different people - to play and explore.
The session starts at 12 with a two hour class, then there's a break for 45 minutes - a chance to eat something and hang out a bit, and then a couple more hours for jamming.
If travelling by car or van, please can we ask you to park on the main road and walk up to the venue unless you have access needs. The lane is used by farm vehicles and we don't want to cause any obstruction - Thanks!
This month's class and jam are facilitated by Lily Antonia - a UK-based contemporary dancer and performance artist specialising in Contact Improvisation, with over five years of practice and teaching. Coming from a technical and somatic background, she blends functionality with exploration, creating spaces for movers to follow curiosity, invoke imagination, and find availability through the practice.
