Silent Night Raging Eve by Joanna Simpkins
Volcano Theatre, Swansea, SA1 1LG
Tuesday 1st December 2026 7:30PM
After a successful run last Christmas, Eve's back and going on tour!
“I love Christmas, I love that I can start my day using Baileys instead of milk.”
Perfect woman, perfect host!
Eve is throwing a Christmas party. You are invited. Unfortunately, so is Eve's family...
The credit card is maxed out; the sausage rolls and mince pies are prepped. Please don't forget to compliment the host's dress.
Silent Night Raging Eve is a mature and complex dark seasonal comedy exploring the gendered pressures of youth and beauty, the terrifying expectations of the festive season, and the casual cruelty of families.
In a world obsessed with youth and always being the best version of yourself, where a woman's work at Christmas is never done.
Silent Night Raging Eve is an original work by Joanna Simpkins, an actor and writer from a working-class background in Hull, Yorkshire, who trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and whose work encompasses contemporary plays, classic drama and physical theatre. She has worked with Punchdrunk, Volcano, Derby Theatre and Theatre by the Lake.
Directed by Paul Davies.
Age Guidance: 14+
