Voices of Aphasia
Voices of Aphasia builds communities and raises the voices of people affected by aphasia through the power of music and singing.
Voices of Aphasia is a Bath-based charity delivering specialist accessible choirs for people affected by aphasia (communication difficulties after stroke or brain injury). People with aphasia can have difficulty speaking but can often still sing fluently. Singing, particularly in a group, can help improve people’s mood and emotional wellbeing.
Bath Aphasia Choir is the flagship project of Voices of Aphasia, led by Music Therapists Laura Cook and Denise Wong. It is our hope to continue to connectand support people with aphasia and their carers, especially for those who might not be able to access other singing groups and choirs.
