Book launch - North of the Winter Sun by Veronica Skotnes (tr Diane Oatley)
Veranda Books, London, W1H 5BA
Tuesday 10th November 2026 6:30PM
An evening of Nordic pleasures awaits as we welcome Norwegian writer Veronica Skotnes to Veranda
North of the Winter Sun is Veronica’s account of her solo travels, by boat, around the northernmost reaches of Norway, where she encountered the hospitality of isolated fishing communities, and strangers who shared her yearning for the sea.
Veronica will be in conversation with writer and critic Oonagh Devitt Tremblay, and we know this will be a warm and wonderful discussion of coastal culture and solo travel, made all the warmer with complimentary Gløgg and Scandinavian snacks.
We hope you can join us!
