Re:Framed – The Music of Greenwich Village
Re:Framed brings together a group of musicians to celebrate the songs and artists that made New York’s Greenwich Village one of the most important musical communities of the 20th century.
From the folk revival of the ’60s through to the songwriters who transformed popular music, the evening reimagines music through the ears of a contemporary film and TV composer.
Rather than simply recreating the originals, Re:Framed gives this remarkable catalogue a fresh musical setting, drawing on folk, jazz and contemporary influences.
Expect beautiful songs, rich arrangements, stories, harmonies and a journey through a time and place where musicians, poets and songwriters gathered in tiny clubs and coffee houses, and changed music forever.
