Twelfth Night

The Longmore Theatre - Manchester College entrance, Manchester, M3 1PT
Wednesday 25th November 2026 7:30PM
The Manchester College presents Twelfth Night, performed by our Year 2 Acting students.

Love, disguise and mistaken identity collide in William Shakespeare’s much-loved comedy. Shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria and believing her twin brother lost, Viola disguises herself as a young man named Cesario and enters the service of Duke Orsino. When Orsino sends her to woo Countess Olivia on his behalf, an unexpected love triangle begins: Olivia falls for Cesario, while Viola falls for Orsino.
Meanwhile, mischievous schemes and practical jokes wreak havoc in Olivia’s household, with the self-important Malvolio at the centre of it all
.
Our students bring Shakespeare’s colourful characters to life in a story that balances laughter with longing. Exploring identity, belonging and the unpredictable nature of love, Twelfth Night invites audiences into a world where appearances deceive and the road to happiness is anything but straightforward.
