Slung Low at The Warehouse in Holbeck, Leeds, LS11 9RQ
Tuesday 10th November 2026
Together with Leeds People’s Theatre, we have a new series of workshops for adults (18+) which will focus on vocal confidence. From the physical mechanics of speaking, aligning breath, body and voice to expressing yourself with authority, intention and clarity, over three sessions facilitated by our very own Morven Macbeth we’ll explore ways to connect with your authentic voice. We’re also offering two further workshops as part of this autumn programme, led by two brilliant guest artists, Marie Claire Breen and Rich Huxley which will focus more on discovering your singing voice and feeling empowered to explore the musicality which all human voices hold. And yes, we mean ALL! You can sign up for as many of the workshops as you’d like, and please see our website for more details and to book. You’re able to pay what you decide after the workshop.
Please do share any access requirements that you have, and if there’s anything additionally which would be useful for us to know ahead of the workshop, so that we can best support you during your time with us.
Tuesday 10th Nov 1pm – 3pm & 6pm – 8pm (the same session held at different times to give as many of you as possible the opportunity to come along on the day)! From Quiet to Confident: Discover Your Singing Voice. Have you ever been told “you can’t sing”? Or felt too nervous to sing in front of anyone else? maybe you only ever sing in the shower, or hum along to the radio? If you’ve ever wanted to discover what your singing voice can do, then join our workshop with Opera Singer and Vocal Coach Marie Claire Breen. This workshop is designed with you and your voice at it’s heart, by exploring how breath, body and voice combine to unlock your unique sound. We will sing songs you know – and some you don’t! – to full you with self-assurance, curiosity and confidence to discover what your singing voice can do.
