CINDERELLA - An Original Pantomime
The Duchess Theatre, Derbyshire, NG10 1EF
Thursday 21st January 2027 - Saturday 23rd January 2027
Poor Cinderella spends her days cleaning and cooking for her horrid Stepsisters, who make her life a misery. Despite her hardships, Cinderella remains kind, cheerful, and full of hope.
When Prince Charming announces a grand Royal Ball to find his future bride, everyone in the kingdom is excited. Cinderella dreams of attending, but her wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters refuse to let her go. Just when all seems lost, her Fairy Godmother appears with a wave of her magic wand. She transforms Cinderella's rags into a beautiful gown, creates a magnificent carriage, and sends her to the ball—with one important warning: the magic will disappear at midnight!
At the ball, Prince Charming is captivated by the mysterious young woman, and the pair quickly fall in love. But as the clock strikes twelve, Cinderella rushes away, leaving behind a single glass slipper.
Determined to find his true love, Prince Charming travels the kingdom searching for the girl whose foot fits the slipper. After many comic mishaps, the slipper finally fits Cinderella perfectly. Her true identity is revealed, the villains are outwitted, and Cinderella and Prince Charming are reunited.
Filled with laughter, music, magic, audience participation, and plenty of pantomime fun, Cinderella is a timeless tale of kindness, courage, and dreams coming true.
This original pantomime adaptation has been written by Adam Stevenson, Leon Wade, and Victoria Wade, bringing a fresh and entertaining take to the beloved fairy tale while retaining all the traditional charm audiences know and love.
