Fused Glass Workshop
The Station, North Yorkshire, DL10 4LD
Saturday 27th February 2027 1:00PM
Create your own unique fused glass candle holder in this relaxed, hands-on workshop.
You’ll design and make a piece of glass measuring approximately 15cm × 10cm, which will be fitted into a beautiful wooden tea light stand provided as part of the workshop. You’ll learn how to cut and refine glass using traditional hand tools and an electric grinder, before exploring a wide range of decorative glass techniques.
Choose from glass paints, frits, stringers, confetti glass, murrini and more to create your own design. You can keep things simple or experiment with different colours, textures and patterns. There’s no set design to follow, so Helen will support you throughout the workshop to develop your own ideas and help you achieve the result you’re looking for.
Bring along images that inspire you but rest assured plenty of example pieces are provided for inspiration or to replicate. Your finished glass piece will be taken away after the workshop to be fired in the kiln. It will then be ready to collect from The Station the following week.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous glass-working experience.
Age 18+. Safety equioment is provided, but please ensure you wear closed-toed shoes.
All materials and equipment are provided, including the wooden tea light stand.
