Twelfth Night

Shakespeare’s most joyful comedy sails into Bradford-On-Avon this season as the Bradfordians Dramatic Society presents Twelfth Night. Shipwrecks, secret identities, glorious misunderstandings and hopelessly tangled love affairs collide in Illyria, where nobody is quite what they seem. As Viola disguises herself as a man to survive in a strange new land, chaos unfolds in one of Shakespeare’s funniest and most heartfelt plays. In a playful twist inspired by the spirit of disguise at the heart of the story, all male roles in this production will be performed by women, and all female roles will be performed by men. The result is a lively, topsy-turvy celebration of comedy, confusion and theatrical tradition that promises laughter, music and plenty of surprises along the way. Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or simply looking for a brilliant night out, Twelfth Night offers wit, warmth and wonderfully outrageous entertainment for all. So get ready to book your tickets and join us in Illyria… where nothing is quite as it appears.
