A Christmas tradition continues! We are delighted to announce that Sunday Times bestselling author Phillipa Ashley will once again be joining us for a delightful afternoon off bookish chat and amazing food!
Phillipa writes uplifting romantic fiction which is lively, sexy and funny. This afternoon will be a thoroughly entertaining one, as we discuss Phillipa's new book - with the added delights of an afternoon tea, which will include treats inspired by Stay Another Christmas.
After studying English at Oxford University, she worked as a copywriter and journalist before writing her debut novel, Decent Exposure. It won the Romantic Novelists Association New Writers Award and was filmed as a Lifetime TV movie starring Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Hopkins.
Her novels have sold in their millions and been translated into many languages. She is also an Audible number 1 best-seller.
The Afternoon Tea is set to include a variety of sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, homemade cakes and more. Tea & standard coffee is included (latte, cappuccino & hot chocolate etc. are available separately). Please advise of any dietary restrictions/allergies at the time of booking, so the venue is aware of these.
Please note, there will be limited stock of Stay Another Christmas available at the event, however it is recommended that copies are purchased at booking to guarantee yours.
About 'Stay Another Christmas'
After a life-changing accident, Katie’s plan for Christmas is simple: rent a spectacular island house in the Lake District, gather the people she loves, and enjoy snowy walks, crackling fires and the promise of a fresh start.
What she doesn’t plan on?
Her ex-boyfriend turning up.
Still reeling from their break-up, Katie isn’t sure whether seeing him again will bring closure or reopen old wounds. Especially when she finds herself drawn to Arlo, the handsome owner of the island house, who is keeping his heart carefully guarded.
As Christmas approaches, old feelings resurface and new sparks begin to fly. Katie must decide whether to give the past one more chance, or open her heart to a love she never expected.
