Sapeurs

Thursday 5th March 2026 - Friday 6th March 2026
We all have ideas in our heads about who the migrants in Barrow are, how they got here and why they came. This project tells the real stories.
For the past 18 months award winning writer Kevin Fegan has been talking and listening to people who have come to Barrow as refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, those who work with them and members of the community of Barrow.
Sapeurs is a piece of musical theatre which tells those stories and also give voice to the views of those who find refugee presence in our town challenging. Sapeurs is an important story for our town and for our community cohesion in a challenging and divided world.
Featuring South Lakes Music’s Rock & Pop Choir and a live band.
