Choral Director Training Day
Led by Tori Longdon
An inspiring, practical day for vocal conductors, choral directors and workshop leaders.
Discover fresh ideas through engaging warm-ups, songs and vocal exercises, while exploring effective rehearsal techniques and healthy vocal production.
Whether you’re an experienced director or just starting out, come to share, sing, learn and be inspired with practical tools and new approaches to take back to your choir.
Tori Longdon is the Principal Conductor of the Covent Garden Chorus, and Associate Chorus Director of the London Philharmonic Choir, with whom she has helped to prepare choruses for Sir Mark Elder, Ed Gardner and Vladimir Jurowski. She is in demand internationally following her work on the King’s Coronation Concert in May 2023 when she coached eighteen choirs from around the United Kingdom to perform for the king. Tori recently chorus-mastered her first Prom concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and travels the world leading masterclasses and adjudicating competitions, most recently in Germany (November 25) Australia (June 25) and the US (March 25). She has lectured for the Artist Development postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music, and for the musicianship course at the Junior Guildhall Conservatoire. Tori is currently a conductor for Songs Of Praise on BBC1, as well as an adjudicator for ‘BBC Young Choir Of The Year’. In July 2025 she joined the jury panel for the ‘Choir Of The World’ Competition at the Llangollen Eisteddfod, and will return to the festival in 2026.
