BE PART OF THE SONIC STREAM 🎙️🎶
Help build Chichester’s new local music streaming service
Fridays | 4–6pm | Chichester Boys Club
FREE | Ages 16–25 | No experience required
Something exciting is happening for music in Chichester.
The Sonic Stream is a new radio and streaming project dedicated to showcasing local musicians, discovering new talent and building a bigger audience for live music in and around Chichester.
We want to hear the bands, solo artists, producers and emerging musicians creating music on our doorstep.
We want to talk about the gigs people should know about.
We want to interview the people making the local music scene happen.
And we want to create great radio, interviews, videos, social content and live sessions that give local talent a platform.
And you can help us build it.
Get behind the mic – or behind the scenes
The Sonic Stream is being created by a team of 16–25 year olds, and there are loads of ways to get involved.
You could try:
🎙️ Presenting – get behind the mic and help create shows people want to hear
🎚️ Production & tech – learn how the studio, sound equipment and streaming technology work
🎤 Interviewing – talk to local musicians, venues and people involved in the music scene
🎸 Music – discover new artists, find great tracks and help decide what we showcase
📱 Content creation – make videos, photography, graphics and social content
📣 Promotion – help build an audience and get people talking about local artists, gigs and The Sonic Stream
💡 Your own ideas – help shape the station and come up with things we haven't thought of yet
No experience is required.
You can come along, try different things and discover the role that works for you.
And we're doing things a little differently.
The Sonic Stream is about levelling the playing field.
We particularly want to create opportunities for young people who haven't always been given the same chances as everyone else.
Maybe you’ve grown up with dyslexia, ADHD or autism.
Maybe school or college has been difficult.
Maybe traditional ways of learning or working haven't brought out the best in you.
Or perhaps other challenges in your life have meant that you've had fewer opportunities to discover what you're capable of.
That shouldn't decide what happens next.
At The Sonic Stream, we're more interested in what you could bring to the team.
Your ideas. Your interests. Your creativity. Your way of looking at things.
You don't need qualifications or previous experience. You don't need to arrive full of confidence. And you don't need to know exactly what you want to do.
Come and give something a go.
Find your thing. Learn some skills. Meet people. Make something real.
And help us create a platform that gets local music and new voices heard.
