CRIPTOPIA: A Crip Hybrid Performance Night
CRIPTOPIA is an accessible, hybrid, multidisciplinary performance night centering and celebrating the work of crip, disabled and chronically ill artists. Our incredible acts will be showcasing a diverse range of work, from spoken word to dance to bed-based cabaret.
CRIPTOPIA makes space for artists and audiences who are often excluded from traditional performance venues due to a lack of accessibility, bringing together live and digitally integrated performances. The event will be livestreamed, with online participation and performances for those unable to attend or perform in person. We recognise that access to arts and culture should not depend on energy levels, mobility or health.
All profits from the event will be donated to the ME Association, a charity working to support people living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME).
Join us for an evening of experimentation, entertainment, solidarity and collective care. <3
Wednesday 18th November - 7pm start! Doors from 6:30pm.
ACCESS INFORMATION
Audience members will be required to wear respirator masks unless exempt (masks will be provided on arrival for those who do not bring their own).
Performers will be required to do a COVID test on the day of the event.
We will be using an air-purifier.
This event is Breathe Easy London approved.
There will be a calm room available throughout the night so audience members have a safe space to rest if they need to take a break.
Please avoid wearing fragrances to protect those with scent sensitivities.
The Feminist Library is step free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender neutral. Check out the Library’s access statement for more information, including step-free routes from local public transport options, here: https://feministlibrary.co.uk/accessibility/
