Saxophone Legend Simon Spillett in Concert
Ferociously fine tenor Sax specialistOne of the UK’s foremost jazz tenor saxophonists takes to the stage at The Jazz Club at Fairford with a Rhythm section comprising pianist Bruno D'Ambra, bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Nick Millward. For over three decades, Simon Spillett has performed at the highest level throughout the UK and beyond gracing stages such as Ronnie Scotts regularly both as a small ensemble leader and arranger / leader of one of the finest Big Bands in the UK today. His command of swing and bebop - particularly the music of the late, great Tubby Hayes - is legendary, yet he has a sensitive side to his playing and he assures us this will be very much on show at this performance.
