Hugh Turner & Chris Cobbson Quartet
A Brace of Guitarists: Jazz, Blues, Funk & a Hint of African RhythmBoth highly popular in the jazz fraternity: Chris with his work with Osibisa and Sir Courtney Pine and Hugh with his Funk and Blues bands. These two great musicians will join forces with drummer Jasper Morrissey (and bassist Paul Jefferies to create a show that brims with variety and guitar led virtuosity. Imagine a concert that figuratively puts Wes Montgomery together with Peter Green, George Duke, Abdullah Ibrahim and a peppering of golden era show tunes and there it is - an ‘assiette' of musical flavours presented on a solid rhythmic bed of bass and drums.
