Capturing women’s dreams in Hunza: filmmaker conversation and screening
Aga Khan Centre, London, N1C 4DN
Wednesday 8th April 2026
Join us for a filmmaker conversation and screening of Wood, Spice and Dough, a short documentary set in Pakistan’s Hunza Valley.
The film follows three women who choose to reshape their futures beyond expected roles. One trains as a carpenter, another becomes a chef, and the third opens a food stall. Through their work, they build new paths for themselves and their families.
Set within the landscapes and communities of Hunza, the documentary offers a close look at creativity, labour, and self-determination.
The event includes selected scenes from the film, followed by a conversation with the filmmaker and audience Q&A.
