Lions Club of Tavistock Father Christmas Experience 2026
The Bedford Hotel, Tavistock, PL19 8
Friday 18th December 2026 4:30PM
Following the wonderful success of last year’s sold-out Christmas Grotto Experience, Father Christmas is returning to the Bedford Hotel, Tavistock, for another magical Christmas experience.
After such a fantastic response last Christmas, Tavistock Lions are delighted to bring the Grotto back for 2026, with all the festive fun, activities and Christmas magic that made last year’s event so special.
Session dates and times:
Saturday 12 December: 2pm–5pm
Sunday 13 December: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm
Friday 18 December: 3.30pm–5.30pm
Saturday 19 December: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm
Sunday 20 December: 10am–1pm and 2pm–5pm
Monday 21 December: 10am–3pm
Each Christmas Grotto Experience lasts approximately 50 minutes.
The Christmas magic begins from the moment you arrive, as children make their way through our specially designed Grotto entrance and into Father Christmas’s Workshop. Here, there are plenty of festive activities to enjoy, with Father Christmas’s elves on hand. No visit would be complete without meeting Father Christmas himself.
Each child will enjoy around 10 minutes with Father Christmas, giving them time to chat and enjoy this special part of their visit. Every child will receive an age-appropriate book and a surprise Christmas gift. Families will receive a beautifully presented photograph of their child with Father Christmas, to take home as a keepsake. Children will also receive a special badge.
We look forward to welcoming families again this year, helping to create even more magical Christmas memories together in 2026.
Tickets (a small booking charge applies)
£15 per child aged 2 and over
£10 for children under 2 (due to them being too young to do crafts)
Places are limited, and following the popularity of last year’s events, early booking is recommended.
The Christmas Grotto Experience is organised by Tavistock Lions as a charity fundraising event. Proceeds from this year’s Grotto will support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Derriford Hospital.
