Inject Some Laughter into Your Creativity!
Are you feeling like everything is getting a bit too SERIOUS for you and your audience? Or perhaps you crave a touch of lightness but want to weave in some humour to soften the edges of your work?
Join author Christina Longden for an engaging session that explores the art of incorporating humour into your creative expressions. Whether you’re looking to sprinkle some comedic flair into your social media marketing or dive into the world of writing and performing comedy, this session is tailored for you!
· Know Your Audience’s Humour Expectations: Learn how to ‘read the room’ and deliver the chuckles your audience craves.
· Build Confidence in Your Humour: Gain tools and techniques to comfortably – and safely - use humour in your work.
· Create Your Humour Library: Get recommendations on must-read materials and must-watch performances to sharpen your comedy instincts.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Christina Longden grew up in Dukinfield and her first two comedy-drama novels, 'Mind Games & Ministers' and 'Cuckoo in the Chocolate' were set in Tameside. Christina was Writer in Residence for Kirklees from 2020-23, is a community historian and her family were recently featured throughout the Al Jazeera docu-series 'Victorian Muslims.'
There will also be the network's usual sharing of creative resources, notices, and news from Tameside and beyond, so feel free to bring any news of your latest projects or activities to share. It’s always lovely to hear what everyone has been up to!
There will be refreshments and chances to catch up over a cuppa as usual too. Creatives of all stripes are welcome!
If you have any access requirements, concerns or questions, please feel free to email [email protected]
