Art with Heart be will returning to Tameside Creative Network to deliver a very fun and informative workshop on how to facilitate your own workshop! (yes, a workshop on workshops!)
This workshop is run by AwH Co-Creative Director Sarah Emmott who is their lead facilitator for young audiences. Sarah has worked as a facilitator and educator since 2006 in a range of cultural, educational, youth and prison settings, collaborating nationally with organisations including Belgrade Theatre Coventry, BBC Learning, Contact, The Proud Trust and Institute of Cultural Affairs UK. Sarah’s projects have included school transitions, politics and debating, and working with former gang members. In this session, we will explore different types of workshops, including teaching skills, making meaning and unpacking difficult subjects.
This workshop will cover:
For artists and facilitators starting their career who want to expand their practice into creative workshop delivery, be that for schools, organisations like galleries and museums or planning and promoting your own!
There will also be lots of opportunities to chat, along with the network’s usual sharing of creative resources, notices, and news from Tameside and beyond, so feel free to bring any news of your latest projects or activities to share! Refreshments will be provided.
