Creative Coastal Communities Network - Webinar Series 1: Inclusive Ocean Cultures (Young People).
Online
Monday 15th June 2026
What does it mean to build truly inclusive ocean cultures? How can young people living on our coastal fault lines actively shape and implement their own climate destinies?
Join Take A Part and the Creative Coastal Communities Network core cohort of 18 coastal areas across the UK and Ireland in this webinar that explores how we can work with young people in our coastal settings to shape and take forward climate futures that are shaped by their ambitions and actions.
We are incredibly excited to bring together a brilliant, diverse lineup of environmentalists, youth advocates, and researchers to share their insights and practice:
Jonathon Porritt - Eminent Environmentalist, Campaigner, and Author
About: The Creative Coastal Communities Network was initiated in February 2026 as a peer learning and sharing network for supporting and developing creative and community-led approaches to supporting communities to take on their own climate futures. We work to shape projects, strategies and policy for lasting and sustainable community engagement and change. We know that creative approaches are needed, ones that move away from eco-anxiety towards collaborative solutions. We also know that real change needs to involve communities most acutely impacted by the climate emergency to work with scientists, researchers, governments and institutions to find solutions that work for everyone. Shaping community-fit services and approaches.
Made up of a core of 18 coastal areas from across the UK and Ireland, the CCCN network also has a host of Associate organisations that are invited to sit around this work, advising, advocating, sharing and (in time) adopting some of the methodologies and models that emerge from this practice network.
The CCCN core group have shaped this programme and are inviting you to come and take part, to consider how you may share your own learning, networks and resources and join us in working to create better ocean and coastal futures for those communities who are most acutely experiencing climate injustice.
FREE. Registration required.
