Dance into Autumn: A toe-tapping celebration of music

Sweep away the autumn chill and step into a spectacular evening of rhythm, elegance, and high-energy music with our seasonal showcase, "Dance into Autumn"!
As the leaves begin to fall, our wind band takes you on a whirlwind musical journey spanning centuries and continents. This concert celebrates the incredible diversity of dance music, proving that rhythm truly moves us all.
Experience the timeless elegance of Leroy Anderson’s Belle of the Ball and traditional waltzes, contrasted with the earthy, rhythmic charm of a traditional clog dance. We will turn up the heat with the infectious syncopations of a blistering samba, before jumping back in time to the birth of rock 'n' roll with a high-octane performance of Rock Around the Clock.
As the autumn nights grow longer, we embrace the mysterious and the dramatic. Lean into the spooky season with Saint-Saëns’ hauntingly brilliant Danse Macabre, feel the fiery, breathtaking speed of Khachaturian’s famous Sabre Dance, and explore the rich, historical tapestry of early English music with Kenneth Hesketh's acclaimed Danceries.
The evening also features unforgettable moments from the silver screen. Journey through the sweeping, emotional landscapes of John Barry’s Oscar-winning score to Dances with Wolves, and finally, leave your worries at the door as we close the night with the ultimate feel-good finale—the roof-raising Shrek Dance Party!
Whether you want to sway, tap your feet, or simply lose yourself in the music, this concert promises an unforgettable night of entertainment for music lovers of all ages.
