With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage fund, we are able to offer this as a free event.
This CPD will provide:
- An opportunity to be part of a subject based community that shares best practice.
- Updates on key messages from Ofsted and the Schools History Project.
- Links to resources and high-quality CPD events.
- Advice and guidance on building local history and diversity into the History curriculum.
- A focus on ‘Disability History’. Surveys reveal that many schools have positively changed the level of diversity within the curriculum. However, the progress did not appear representative of all groups – only 2% of respondents always included disability history.
- As part of their ground-breaking Beyond Labels exhibition, the Hold have produced a fully resourced historical enquiry that explores attitudes towards disability from the Ancient Greeks to the present day. This free resource also develops the disciplinary thinking that students need to succeed at GCSE when they tackle thematic studies.
With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage fund, we are able to offer this as a free event.
