With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are able to offer this as a free event.
This conference will provide:
- An opportunity to be part of a subject based community that shares best practice.
- Updates on key messages from Ofsted and the Historical Association.
- Free – ready to use teaching resources.
- Advice and guidance on building local history and diversity into the History curriculum.
- Details about our Summer Conference (just £50 for network members) and support for curriculum development.
- A focus on ‘Disability History’ - Historical Association surveys reveal that many schools have positively changed the level of diversity within the curriculum. However, the progress did not appear representative of all groups – only 2% of respondents always included disability history.
- As part of their ground-breaking Beyond Labels Exhibition the Hold have produced a fully resourced unit of work that explores attitudes towards disability from the Ancient Greeks to the present day. This free resource provides enquiries linked to significant individuals, local history and PSHE.
With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are able to offer this as a free event.
