Medieval Bristol - local history guided walk
Central Bristol, Bristol, BS1 5TL
Thursday 18th March 2027
Medieval Bristol was a small, busy, cramped city, dominated by a huge castle and protected by solid city walls. Much has been lost over the centuries, but it is surprising how much of the old city can still be traced today. This 90-minute guided walk follows part of the circuit of city walls, looks at several of the parish churches, identifies the very oldest part of the city - the spot where the Saxons first decided to build, and of course the site of the once magnificent castle.
