St Albans Chamber Choir
Since its debut in 1958, St Albans Chamber Choir has established itself as a major contributor to the musical life of the St Albans area.
An extensive repertoire, a cappella performances, and award-winning, innovative programming are the Choir’s hallmarks, and under the direction of its Musical Director John Gibbons BEM, the Choir continues to champion new repertoire alongside well-known pieces from the choral canon from the fifteenth to the twenty-first century.
Registered charity number 280876 – to foster public knowledge and appreciation of choral music by giving performances of familiar and rarely performed works – and is affiliated to Making Music (The National Federation of Music Societies). The Choir gratefully acknowledges financial assistance from the Williams Church Music Trust.
