Handel's "Messiah" stands as one of the most celebrated oratorios in history and is widely recognized as his most illustrious creation. This masterpiece, which hardly requires an introduction, was astonishingly composed in just twenty-four days. Its debut occurred in Dublin in 1742, where it was met with overwhelming enthusiasm.

However, the initial response in London the following year was markedly less favorable. It was only after "Messiah" started being performed at charity events at the Foundling Hospital in London that it began to gain the public admiration and status as Handel’s finest work that it holds today.
