Jenny Q and Myshkin – Held Together

Held Together is a deeply personal memoir by Jenny Q. It is a candid account of her near-death experience, coma, sepsis survival and a life impacted by disability. Balancing urgency, reflection, humour and wonder, the book explores sudden disability, resilience, love and transformation.  The book reading will artfully combine excerpts from Held Together with music performed by Jenny and Myshkin. 

Jenny Q is a Palestinian herbalist, writer, teacher, and cellist. She has been writing daily for over thirty years as a creative outlet and a tool for self-discovery and joy.

Myshkin is an award-winning songwriter and multimedia artist who has toured with her band, Ruby Warblers, for over two decades and who has just released her 12th record, Hot Night in Paris. Her album, Trust and the High Wire was written about events in Jenny’s book.
