Hebble - Concert at Cuthbert's
St Cuthbert's Church, Whitby, YO21 2RJ
Saturday 10th October 2026 7:30PM
Hebble at Kildale's St Cuthbert's Church. An evening of Folk standards, catchy choruses, belting rhythms, and tunes to make the heart sing.
Rare and beautiful folk songs from around Europe and America arranged and interwoven with care and craft, and plenty of craic.
Hebble are an eclectic British Isles folk band with a unique set of instruments that play lively, traditional music in multiple languages. Probably the only trio in the world with Greek Bouzouki, Bodhran, and Cello with 3 vocals.
Hebble also has a handful of original songs and tunes inspired by the myth and landscape of the British Isles. Upbeat and interactive with twists of the alternative, and plenty of three-part harmonies.
Join us at St Cuthberts Kildale for an evening of Folk, food, drink and community.
Hebble are:
- Sam Hodgson (aka Samh) - singer-songwriter, guitarist, & bouzouki player
- Aidan Kilroy - bodhran player & singer
- Helena Drumm - cellist & singer
Physical tickets can be collected at the Church entrance from 7pm on the evening of the event.
"From the very first tune, they had the audience eating out of their hands. Every time they kicked off another song or tune, the expectation of ' what now?' was palpable. Not only are they superb musicians, the warmth and humour of each personality shines through on stage. I can't wait to get these guys back."
- MAGGIE GARRAT, MEWL music
"A great trio. Wonderful harmony singing. Virtuosic instrumental music underpinned by top percussion. A must to see and hear."
- TOM MCCONVILLE, BBC folk musician of the year
Parking is across the British rail car park at Kildale Station, St Cuthbert's car park and overflow. Parking will be directed by Marshall on the evening. Head for Station Rd to be directed.
