A Ghost Story for Christmas: “Oh, Whistle, And I’ll Come to You My Lad”:
Who is this who is coming…?
The Bijou celebrates perhaps the greatest ghost story ever written, “Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad” by M R James.
Professor Parkins, on a golfing holiday by the sea, digs up an ancient whistle.
He blows it and his life is never the same again.
Robert Lloyd Parry performs his own solo adaptation of the story, followed by a screening of Jonathan Miller’s chilling TV version first broadcast in 1968.
