Puccini “Messa di Gloria” and excerpts from Vivaldi’s “Gloria”

Somerset Opera presents a come and sing event of Puccini’s ‘Messa di Gloria’ and excerpts from the Vivaldi “Gloria”, on Saturday 18th of July, at St John’s Church, Taunton, TA1 4DG.
We have an international conductor Andrea Brown joining us, who is head of Choral Conducting at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Somerset Chamber Choir.
Andrea really is fabulous and knows her stuff, she’s excellent to work with.
Soloists:
Tenor - Robin Jeffcoat
Bass - Tom Clough
The Doors and Bar open at 18.00 and the performance starts at 18.30.
For singers wishing to perform, registration will be at 14:00 and the rehearsal with start
at 14:30 and run until 17:30, followed by an hour’s break, with a tea break from 17:30-18:00.
We will be having some extra rehearsals on Thursday 2nd, 9th and 16th of July, for any singers wishing a little more rehearsal but you don’t need to come along to these if you are confident of your singing. These rehearsals will be at @2K theatre Taunton Station unit 5, Former Railway Works, Taunton TA1 1QP. 19.30 to 21.30.
