Radio Blah Blah with Guy Lloyd LIVE

The Actors, Brighton, BN2 1RD
Thursday 30th October 2025
Guy Lloyd's Radio Blah Blah is a live show with a twist! Incorporating a broadcast studio and a live performance space, Guy is turning radio up to '11', with an exciting and immersive event for the good people of Brighton (Hove too!).

Remember The Tube? TFI Friday? This is the radio equivalent. Live performances from bands, solo artists, comedians, poets, you name it, anything could happen on this show. Alongside the live performances, there'll  be interviews with big names from across the city and beyond, all in front of a live audience. That live audience being you. And your friends. And family. And possibly, domestic animals (although we’d take non-domestic).

This month we welcome lovepoint, Kaia Fincher, & REA.

lovepoint is a Brighton-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His eponymous debut EP was praised for its originality and skilful composition and BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson called it “the most impressive debut of the year”. It received several million streams, mostly on YouTube with a promotional budget of £0. Covid put a halt in performing live, and lovepoint spent that time writing and recording his debut album, Beauty Mode. When restrictions were lifted, lovepoint and his band performed a string of live shows alongside putting finishing touches on 'Beauty Mode', which was released in September 2023. Unfortunately, around that time, due to a genetic condition that required surgery, lovepoint was unable to play or gig for a couple of years. Back now and fighting fit, he has mostly written album 2, will be releasing a string of singles in 2026 and return to regularly performing live.

Kaia Fincher is a bold new solo project by Lika Bugaeva, an established Ukrainian artist and the former front woman of critically acclaimed alternative band Zetetics. With five albums, national airplay, and major festival performances under her belt, Kaia is no newcomer to the music scene. Kaia Fincher represents a clean slate: a fully reimagined artist identity crafted for the UK and global pop and electronic markets. It’s cinematic, intimate, queer, and fiercely stylish. Fincher’s songs are written, recorded, and fully produced by her, ready for roll out. This is a great opportunity to build an artist with a refined aesthetic from day one. The music is built for streaming and grounded in live performance potential. Kaia Fincher’s audience is already clear and underserved. She connects with a growing global niche of queer, Gen Z, and Millennial listeners who seek music that is both danceable and emotionally intelligent. This fan base is influenced by artists such as MUNA, Shura, Christine and the Queens, Lorde, King Princess, and Caroline Polachek.

Brighton-based artist REA creates alternative folk in quiet outdoor spaces. Raised in rural Staffordshire, she blends field recordings of nature with intimate, atmospheric soundscapes. Her debut EP Garden Shed (2025) led to multiple sold-out headline shows in Brighton, performances at The Great Escape Festival, and a collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She is now working on her next 4-track live EP, recorded at Future Roots in the South Downs, set for release early 2026.

This is a night not to be missed. Previous shows have sold out very quickly, so book your ticket now and come and join us for a night of joy, merriment and great hair.
