Parents Information Evening

St John Rigby College is delighted to invite you to join us for a dedicated parents’ evening led by Principal Paula Nolan, designed to help you feel confident, reassured, and excited about what lies ahead at St John Rigby College.Your child is about to take their next big step and for parents and carers, this marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter too.

We understand that this moment brings pride, anticipation, and sometimes uncertainty,  and we are here to support you every step of the way.

On the evening, you can expect to:

• Get a clear overview of New Students Day, induction, and how we help students settle quickly and confidently
• Step-by-step guidance on GCSE Results Day and enrolment, including what parents and students need to do and when
• Honest insights from current Year 12 students, sharing their real experiences of starting college, making friends, lessons, support, and enrichment
• An introduction to our Careers Academies, enrichment opportunities, and EPQ, showing how learning goes beyond the classroom
• An explanation of the pastoral support, wellbeing provision, and Progress Tutor system that supports every student academically and personally
• How we track progress, communicate with parents, and prepare students for university, apprenticeships, and employment

Throughout the evening, you’ll hear directly from staff and students about how we nurture confidence, independence, ambition, and resilience, ensuring every learner is supported, challenged, and inspired.
